WHAT TO EXPECT

what-to-expect
I know it can be stressful to visit a new place.

Here are some frequently asked questions to help you know what to expect. If you have a question that you don’t see addressed on this page, feel free to email Lee Williams at pastorlee.canandaigua.fumc@gmail.com . I will be happy to answer your questions!

What should I wear?

Most people dress casually but the most important thing is that you feel comfortable. The Bible never said you have to wear a suit and tie to get in to heaven—so the style of clothes you like isn’t a big deal to us either.

How long are the services?

Our worship services last about an hour.

What happens at a service?

We have a blend of Contemporary and Traditional Music. Time for Prayer and Sharing Community Concerns.
Sermons usually lasts about 15-20 minutes. Then we wrap the service up with a closing song.

What do I have to do?

Nothing! Just relax and enjoy. We won’t make you say anything.

Do I have to bring anything?

No. We will have coffee and tea and some snacks for you to enjoy before or after the service. If you have a Bible, bring it. If not we have one you can use.

What do I do with my kids?

During both worship services there is nursery care available for those Pre-K and younger. There is Sunday School for all ages between services and we will be happy to help your family find the class for them. During the 11am service there is Children's Chatter for those kids in Kindergarten to 3rd grade following the children's moment. Our nursery staff, teachers, and ushers are all safe sanctuary trained and we aim to provide a safe, caring, energy filled, bible based experience for all children!

What is your music like?

We do our best to offer something for everyone! Contemporary music and traditional hymns. If you don’t know the words, don’t worry, they will be projected onto the walls!
